How to book Heathrow parking safely
Heathrow has seen a rise in unreliable parking operators - cars stored insecurely, damaged, or returned late. This is how we assess the providers we list, and how you can check any operator before you hand over your keys.
How we assess parking providers
We're a comparison service, so we don't park your car - the operator does. What we can do is look at each provider before listing them, and show you the information you need to choose well.
Before a provider appears in our comparison, here's what we review.
- Company identity - a real registered company with verifiable details.
- Trading history - how long they've operated and under what names.
- Storage location disclosed - where your car is actually kept.
- Insurance documentation requested - cover for your vehicle while with them.
- Accreditations verified where claimed - Park Mark, BPA/AM-GO and similar.
- Reviews & complaints monitored - ongoing service performance, not a one-off.
What we don't do.
We don't operate the parking and can't guarantee any third-party provider's service. Your booking contract is with the operator you choose, under their terms. We help you compare and reach them - always check their own terms before booking.
What to check yourself before booking any operator
Whether you book through us or anywhere else, these are the checks worth two minutes of your time:
- Accreditation - look for Park Mark on the compound and BPA/AM-GO for meet & greet.
- Independent reviews - a solid score across many reviews, not a handful.
- A real address and phone - you can reach a person if something goes wrong.
- Clear cancellation terms - shown before you pay, not buried afterwards.
Red flags to avoid
The behaviours consumer groups and the airport itself warn about:
- Cash demanded on arrival instead of secure payment up front.
- A handover away from the terminal - at a hotel or petrol station.
- A price far below everyone else, with no accreditation and thin reviews.
- No company details, or a name that has recently changed.
